So Little Time....
To Post!
We are loving our new house!! And I REALLY enjoyed decorating it for Christmas!!

I have been enjoying the joys of owning a house so far. I enjoy picking up every night....which is weird....hope it lasts though!
The house is mostly done as far as moving in...BUT we need curtains and to hang some more things on the walls...but I'm just taking my time trying to make the right decisions! :)
We spent a whole day on the yard and flower beds and doing the outside lights, but it was totally worth it!!
Hope everyone is having a great christmas season!!

So I wanted to let you all see some pics from our camping trip a few weeks ago!
This was one of our hikes. Collin and his brother Zane are in this picture under the waterfall :)

This is what the boys did to celebrate that it was almost halloween :) Things like this happen when you go camping with two Eagle Scouts :)
These were all pics from Zane because I didn't take my camera.
We had a GREAT trip! We love camping soooo much! And we had the perfect weather! It was cold enough to need a fire almost all day....mmmmmm!!!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

More about our house :)
So, I need a new post...
and what better to post about than our house :)
We spent about three nights this week working on the deck. It only had the four by fours and railing on the top. So we put the lattice work up and put supports about every 2.5 feet. Now our deck is safe for everyone :)

Also, we have a pecan tree(that's it in the pic above), and I started picking up the pecans. My friend Stacey has a pecan picker and was telling me all about how great they are and then she got me one as a house warming gift!!! How awesome is that! It works great! I just had to try it out that day after work.
See...now I don't have to bend over to pick up the pecans!!
Thanks Stacey!!
Oh....and PS HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! We celebrated with a lovely chili dinner with family! And Lloyd! Excellent as always! Great food and great company!

Fears of inspection!!!
Ok, so since we are buying an older home that has been remodeled we are thinking...this could go two ways. Either A: the ppl that remodeled did a great job and there is nothing to worry about....
Or B: they remodeled only cosmetic stuff like walls, windows, fixtures, etc.
Looks like the answer was C.
C being: this house was well taken care of over the years!! YEAH!
Inspection went very well. Nothing huge or even that big wrong. In fact he said...I wouldn't be afraid of this house at all.
So we are VERY excited!
Collin went shopping for insurance. That went well except it was pretty stressful. He went to 4 diff places! Phew!
But we found a really good deal, and we are even going to move our car insurance to these ppl.
So...two more things checked off the list!
Onto all the fun stuff that goes along with actually getting the loan!

Fun at the farm!
Brandon, Joy and Claira & Amy, Ben and Carter & Collin and I went to Gilliam(sp?) Farms near Searcy so I could take pictures of Claira and Carter with pumpkins. Joy was disappointed with how few pumpkins they had out this year, but the pictures still turned out so cute!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures! :)

They Accepted!
We thought we wouldn't hear anything until friday on the house...but...apparently they were ready to get rid of it!
We were notified at 12 that they counter offered(which was still a VERY decent deal). But our wonderful agent said since they countered so fast, she really felt like we could counter offer!
So that's what we did and they accepted it!
We are so excited!
Now we just need to get a good inspector to make sure this house is really as great as we think. There may be a problem with part of the roof. Hopefully not all, but I guess you never know till you know!
We took some pictures tonight when we went to see it again! :)
Oh, and here's the scoop. It was a foreclosure house, which we didn't know till the night we made the offer. So yes, it was a fantastic price!
It was made in 1957, and it's everything you'd expect a cutesy older home to be!
They have put new siding on, new double pain windows, new floor in the house except the bathroom, kitchen, and utility room. Sadly the floor isn't the original wood. It's under there though. New fans, new fixtures, new bathtub.
ANYWAY, yes...can you tell...I'm excited! But we also have fears because it is an older home. So we'll see when they inspect it!
Enjoy, and please keep us in your prayers!
our adorable house with red door!
This is where we will have our table. This room connects the living room to the kitchen.
The rooms on the left are the bonus room and the utility room.
This is the guest room.
This is a shot of the bathroom(there are more)
this is the living room, I'm standing in the hall that leads to the bathroom and bedrooms.
This is our bedroom!
Another shot of our bedroom with the closet. We'll have to do something about the use of the closet. They aren't making good use of it here.

The kitchen, and we get the refrigerator. Which will be one less thing to buy!
Looking from the living room to the front door.
The side of the deck.
And kitchen again.

On the way home...
So, we were going home from the store after church on Sunday when I see a ford explorer leave the road for no reason I could see...drove on the sidewalk for a short distance and without slowing down(from what I could tell) he did this...

There was a loud bang as he hit the pole and sparks started flying from the top. At first we were in shock. But we pulled over, I call the popo and stayed on with them until we knew if the guy was ok. He was.
When the police got there collin asked them if we needed to stick around since we saw it happen. He asked collin if he saw the actual impact, and collin said no he didn't, but he knew I had.
So he asked me to fill out a witness report. I did that, then collin took it to the cop, and then called me over. Then the two cops started asking me questions about the whole thing. Asking if there was an animal or kid or ball or anything in the road. And asking if he immediately hit the pole or if he drove off the road first. blah blah blah....
ANYWAY, I told them everything I saw and didn't see, and where I saw him leave the road. Then one of them went and started investigating further back, and the other asked if we could stay around a little longer just in case they had more questions.
So we did, and a few minutes later he came over and told us we could leave and thanked us for all our help.
Interesting sunday to say the least!!!
Hope everyone has a good week and doesn't do anything like this!!

Hopeful!

These pictures have nothing in common except I just entered them into a contest....
Hope I win!
Send out your good thoughts for me! Grand prize is a VERY nice camera, second is some money, and third is a bit less money.
I mostly want the camera. :)
The categories I entered where, architecture, children, and animals.
Wish me luck!

Random picture time!

He kept laying down like this every time I put the camera up to my face...he's precious!

This one cracks me up...he looks like I posed him...like...lay down...tilt your head slightly to the right....
But he did it on his own...promise!

Here is my handsom hubby, he played in one of the fountains while I was "working"(taking pictures one day)

This is a random picture from the front lawn at Harding. If you've never been on campus...you are missing out...it is soooo beautiful!!
Hope everyone has a great week!!

Having Fun!!

So, I have become a fan of Harding Volleyball. It's pretty exciting! The games are very quick paced. These are some shots I got of LeShae. She is a freshman at Harding and she is from Mesquite. When I left for college she was going into the 6th grade....yeah...I'm old!! :)

This one was the winning shot! Yay!! It is def hard to get good shots at a v-ball game with a lens that isn't prepared for that...but i think it went ok.
Below are a few favorites from a "photoshoot" with a friend's baby. This is Rachel's little one, Abby. She was asleep the whole time, just precious!

That's about it for me! :)
